WORKSHOPS

ToxiCity 101

In this workshop, we will learn how to build a system using Arduino, gas sensors, and speakers, generating signals from real-time atmospheric readings and translating variations in pollution levels into audible frequencies. By occupying physical and sonic space through the technological extensions of our bodies, a soundscape emerges—one that reveals the invisible landscape of the environment around us, allowing us to hear atmospheric data hidden from our sight and immediate reality.

Boat Laboratory

Join us at the Boat Laboratory Workshop to create the aquatic vehicle of your dreams! We have plenty of DIY materials, small motors, and a large inflatable pool for prototyping, testing — and eventually, racing! You can work on your own or team up with a friend. Non-electric boat models, submarines, and artistic interpretations of the theme are also welcome. No previous experience is required — just a bit of curiosity, creativity, and a sense of adventure!

Underwater Listening Sessions

In this workshop, participants will explore the depths of aquatic environments and discover the hidden soundscapes of underwater life. Using specialized equipment such as hydrophones, they will embark on a journey to listen to, record, and connect with the underwater world. The goal is to introduce participants to underwater soundscapes, their ecological significance, and the techniques used to record and understand them — reconnecting students with natural environments while raising awareness about the issue of underwater noise pollution.
