Robert Wiley centres his research, teaching, and art making, in the VICARTE Research Unit in Glass and Ceramics for the Arts at NOVA University-FCT, Portugal. His art practice explores technical and material challenges while questioning values in the creation of art for the future, pressured by systemic conditions and colonial mindsets of today. He holds terminal degrees from the Ohio State University (MFA-glass) and the University of Porto (DAP-sculpture).
