"Inflection Reflection" is a work of interactive music for trumpet and computer. It uses deep learning to transform real-time improvisations. Many other techniques including style classification, Markov models, and algorithmic composition are used to create complex challenges and responses for the improviser as well as variations in texture. Although intended as an abstract work, its often chaotic and unpredictable nature is undoubtedly a reflection of the age in which we live.
